Copyright does not protect the idea for a game, its name or title, or the method or methods for playing it. Nor does copyright protect any idea, system, method, device, or trademark material involved in developing, merchandising, or playing a game. Once a game has been made public, nothing in the copyright law prevents others from developing another game based on similar principles. Copyright protects only the particular manner of an author’s expression in literary, artistic, or musical form.

 I am in highschool, taking classes over the summer, and trying to run Lycaon. I don't have to time to have legal issues xD |

I'm not sure where you got THAT information but it isn't true. Plain and simple. I advise you do some real research on the law, if your are concerned about legal trouble because that statement there will NOT protect you from prosecution. Nothing in the law is EVER that simple.

Anon, That is what I found in the copyright laws. If you have anything regarding copyright over ideas and the way copyright refers to online gaming, I have no problemo talking to you I don't plan to get into any legal issues, this was just posted as a request by some members |
