It would be super cool if you could! I know not all games are for everyone but I've been hooked since I was in High School, 7 years ago xD

Is the only way to get money by showing? ;A;

Not, not the only way but it is the best way. They used to have a option that allowed users to teach their dogs tricks and enter them into 'Trickster' competitions but it wasn't re-coded for BETA and the suggestion to bring it back hasn't gotten enough 'supports' to be re-implemented. You can get money by playing games, random events,etc. and also by breeding dogs and selling the pups to 'Pet Homes' (site deletes them and you get money) or selling them to other players. The best pups come from the highest leveled parents to training your dog in a sport, putting them in competitions (a.k.a. 'showing') like Hunting, Field Trials, Herding, etc. equipping them with the right collar/leash and food so they place high and win you lots of money and ribbons! There are plenty of ways to play. I'm a firm believer that there is no wrong way, we all have our own goals

See.. I used to love this sim, played it for roughly 7 or so years, and I grew really close to a ton of people through here. In fact, one of my best friends is a mod on there. But as time went on my "friends" began to leave, and we never spoke again. I tried to keep up with just playing the game as intended, but it was missing that factor of friendship, ie. the messages, the chatting, etc. And while there are a ton of people on daily, the cliques have become more "intense" for lack of better words. The atmosphere which was relaxed and friendly, has now become rather tense and pointy. xD
Everyone seems to be on edge. The gameplay itself however, has improved, but I like a game where not only the game is fun, but the community is welcoming and thriving. One where I can establish friendships, and just be excited every day to get on there and not only play, but converse with everyone.
I miss those days of FP.

Yeah, Beaker, I understand what you mean exactly. a lot of the older folks I spoke with aren't around anymore so I've just dived into the dog aspect of the game. I've found more fun recently buy finding new people, joining a guild that ACTUALLY does something and is active, and I'm helping newer users like I was helped when I was fresh and not yet jaded by the game xD. If you ever do decide to come back, feel free to message me! I can always use more friends, good ones who love the game and are really trying to be active and friendly. There are a lot of 'old heads' that are on edge, but that's because they're in the same situation you're in. A newer generation is coming into the game and things are changing, but it'll all for the better because we used to be those newbies. To tell you the truth, that's why I love LW so much! It reminds me of FP when it was fresh and band-new. I want to be apart of a community from its conception because I miss that closeness I had with other old FP members. If you can't get back into FP, hopefully you (we) can make a new SIM saga of relationships with Lycaon Wild!
