I'm extremely sorry to disappoint you, though I'm sure you've all seen this coming for a while. I just found out about the actual shutdown today, but I along with my fellow staff and you wonderful members all knew the inevitable was bound to happen. Even from the very beginning I've had my doubts about the stability of our organization, among others, but we pushed them aside in hopes of a bright future. I was so surprised when the game actually started forming, it was really happening! And there I was, a part of it, so proud of the team when the game started coming into existence, I even let go of those doubts. But alas, they were well placed.
I'm writing here to address it formally, so no one stumbles lost and hopeful into our forums, and to give you all the apology you deserve but never received, because I truly am sorry, and highly disappointed myself that this didn't work out. I wish I had worked harder when salvaging the game was still a possibility, but there is no use in regrets. The website has officially closed down now, despite having already been abandoned for quite some time. We really wanted the game to work out, the few of us I've managed to get in touch with during my several attempts to bring the game back, but unfortunately the organization and communication needed to run the site was not there and it never had been from the beginning.
But honestly, I don't even know. For all I know the site could magically be back up and running, for all I know it isn't actually closed. I could be sitting here apologizing for something that isn't even true. But I'm going to do it anyway, because even if I incompetently have no clue what's actually going on, you guys are suffering from it, and I'm not okay with that going by without a word. I don't want you guys investing thoughts in any false hopes, because I know you guys really hung in there, you really wanted it to happen, and it made me want to see it happen even more, but at this point I don't think it's salvageable anyway.
So once again, I am so sorry to those who spent money, who put their hearts and souls and time into this games development, those who supported us thinking we could do it. I'm so sorry we were incapable of making LycaonWild the game we all wanted it to become.
